Description
The Rory O'More bridge, opened in 1863. It spans the River Liffey in Dublin, connecting Watling Street to Ellis Street and the north quays. Barrack Bridge was the name of the original wooden bridge. Originally the Victoria and Albert bridge or Queen Victoria bridge, it was renamed in 1939. Rory O'More was key figure in the Irish Rebellion of 1641.
