It was an early morning in Richmond, VA. I met a friend at the Farmer's Market. The biggest Farmer's Market in town. It was my first time. She pulls me past all the produce, the jewelry, the paintings, and photographs. We land in a line. The line for Yoder's Donuts. I'm not a huge fan of just glazed donuts, so I'm not overly excited. Then we start getting close and the smell is amazing. We get close enough to the truck to see them. They are beautiful hanging there with hot glaze dripping onto the tray below. Yes, it's Time to Eat the Donuts.
I live in Knoxville, TN with my husband, 5 cats, and 2 dogs. While my day job as a product and lifestyle photographer is a great, fun job, it does not provide much opportunity for creativity. So, I try to get as creative as possible with my own personal work. My art varies from studio, travel, composite photography, and everything in between. You will find some great street scenes from around the world, as well as historic sites, and locations. My love affair with art photography started at the University of Kentucky, where I studied art. Very cool - I didn't know they hang donuts like this. I assumed they "paint" them with a brush the same way cupcakes are frosted.
