A Magnolia liliiflora, often referred to as a Jane Magnolia or Tulip Magnolia, produces large purple flowers in the early spring. In this photo, the view can see down into the flower, showing the petals unfolding.

I live in Knoxville, TN with my husband, 5 cats, and 2 dogs. While my day job as a product and lifestyle photographer is a great, fun job, it does not provide much opportunity for creativity.
